Herbs For Hands

It’s time for cold winds and gloves forgotten at home. Hands suffer from cold air, water, become dry and can begin to peel off.

Let’s rummage through the bins and see what can be done about it (besides the reminders about gloves).

A universal remedy for cracks and dryness: honey and milk. The latter must be warmed up to a temperature comfortable for the hands and a spoonful of honey dissolve in it.

If desired, you can add a teaspoon of sea salt, or plain salt, but with five drops of iodine. You can also drop aromatic oils into salt (proportions are given in drops per one teaspoon of salt):

  • Verbena – 5
  • Carnation – 10
  • Geranium – 12
  • Hyssop – 12
  • Cedar – 12
  • Lemon – 10
  • Marjoram – 15
  • Mirra – 12
  • Juniper – 10
  • Rose – 5
  • Rosemary – 10
  • Chamomile – 15
  • Fennel – 10

Do not drip directly, from above, into milk or water – it will evaporate, there will be no sense.

Hold your hands for 15 minutes, then wipe dry.

Another variation of this:

Boil chamomile in milk, let it cool down and hold your hands for about 10 minutes. Wipe your hands dry without rinsing.

For prevention, it would be nice to do hand baths with salt and aromatic oils once a week. Everything is exactly the same:

A teaspoon of salt with iodine or sea + aroma oil, dissolve, hold your hands, rinse (!) and grease with cream.

Take care of yourself.
