Along with burning ginger teas, a runny nose, cough and the desire to lie face down in a pillow can be treated with herbal remedies.

Please note that herbal medicine acts, albeit mildly, but for a rather long time, and for any ailment that allows you to suspect the flu, and not just a snotty nose and a bad mood, you should consult a doctor.

A little bit of paramedical tediousness to make it clear why you should see a doctor:

Nominally, the common cold is not a disease – it is just a general name for a whole group of unfortunate consequences of a violent night or wet feet.

These very effects are found in different parts of your head, throat or lungs – and they need to be treated in different ways.

There is:

  • rhinitis (runny nose)
  • pharyngitis (red throat)
  • nasopharyngitis (when not only the throat is covered, but also the nose – snot, cough, perspiration, pain when swallowing)
  • tonsillitis
  • laryngitis (when the cold “went down the throat”: itching in the throat, the voice sat down, the cough is dry, barking and tears in the throat)
  • tracheitis (coughing off and dry cough? This is it. Although it usually joins in some kind of joy above on the list)
  • bronchitis (lungs)

They often like to walk around the body in groups (it’s more fun together), so it is advisable to check with a doctor.

Please note that tonsillitis (sore throat) should be treated quickly, swiftly and by any available means: the longer you have a sore throat, the higher the risk of unpleasantly and thoroughly planting your heart.

To understand that you have angina at the initial stage, you need to look far enough into your throat yourself, and the structure of the human skull does not provide for retractable eyes.

A mirror and a flashlight can save you in this position (the main thing is not to accidentally drop the paraphernalia into your open mouth), but anyway, please, if you have a sore throat, see a doctor.

And if he prescribes antibiotics for you, read the insert carefully, but be sure to start drinking or ask for a replacement if the insert upsets you.

The five-minute tediousness is over, let’s see what we have of the general tonic recipes that will support the body if you feel unwell and you sneeze.

I give the proportions in parts. Part is a cup, a spoon, a scoop, a bucket, a tray – depending on the scale of your cooking.

Raspberry infusion

in 2 parts:

  • raspberries (fruit)
  • linden (flowers)
  • turns (herbs)

1 part:

  • oregano (herbs)
  • burdock root

Mix and grind, put in an airtight and preferably dark or opaque jar.

When the time comes, we take out a tablespoon of the collection and pour a glass of boiling water. Bring to a boil, immediately remove and leave for 15-20 minutes, wrapped in a towel.

Drink half a glass a day after meals hot. The infusion works as an antipyretic and diaphoretic.

Chamomile-sage infusion

1 part:

  • chamomile (flowers)
  • salvia officinalis (leaves)
  • initial letter (grass)

By tradition, we mix, grind, remove. When necessary, take out, take a heaped tablespoon and pour 0.5 boiling water. We insist for 15-20 minutes, wrapped in a towel, then filter.

At night it is worth drinking 2 – 3 cups of hot infusion with honey.
If you have a headache, add mint to the infusion (1 part to the main collection).

Elderberry infusion

1 part:

  • elderberry (flowers)
  • linden (flowers)
  • chamomile (flowers)
  • mullein (flower)
  • blackthorn (flowers)
  • willow (bark)

Grind and mix thoroughly.
Pour one tablespoon with a glass of boiling water, leave for 15 minutes in a wrap. You need to drink 2-3 glasses daily.

Fast and delicious method:

Mix the linden flowers and raspberries in equal amounts. Pour 2 tablespoons with 2 cups of boiling water, boil for 5-10 minutes over low heat, drink hot overnight.

If there is no linden, then the leaves of coltsfoot will do, the proportions and the recipe are the same.

If desired, you can also mix mint, elderberry and linden in the same way as in the recipe above. It will turn out also delicious, the main thing is to find another cozy scarf and roll your throat.

If you take only linden and elderberry flowers, then 2 tablespoons of the collection are needed for a glass of boiling water, boil for 5-10 minutes, and drink a glass hot at night.
